Aims

Information and communication technologies have been providing an effective network infrastructure and development platform for logistics and service operations. To meet the needs of consumers and to promote core competences, many firms have been developing new types of services. LISS’2016 is a prime international forum for both researchers and practitioners to exchange the latest fundamental advances in the state of the art and practice of logistics, informatics and service sciences. Both researchers and practitioners will discuss academic issues, seize future development opportunities, master the developing trends and exchange the latest academic thoughts.

LISS 2011-2015 were successfully held in Beijing (China), Reading (UK), Berkeley (USA) and Barcelona (Spain) by Beijing Jiaotong University, in cooperation with University of Reading (UK), The Pennsylvania State University (USA), University of California, Berkeley (USA) and Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya respectively. In total, about 1000 authors from 35 countries attended these conferences. The proceedings have been or will be indexed by CPCI-S (former ISTP) and EI Compendex since 2011. In 2015, the LISS was approved by IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) to be one of IEEE conference series. The conference proceeding will be included in IEEE Xplore Digital Library. The authors of excellent papers in the conference proceedings will be invited to publish their academic thoughts and methods in some international academic journals indexed by SSCI/SCI or EI with the highest priority.

LISS’2016 will be hosted by the International Center for Informatics Research of Beijing Jiaotong University, China Center for Industrial Security Research of Beijing Jiaotong University, School of Economics and Management of Beijing Jiaotong University, in cooperation with The University of Sydney Business School, the University of Sydney, Australia, University of Reading, UK and will be held during 24-27 July, 2016 in Sydney, Australia, with satellite sessions in Beijing Jiaotong University, China.
